Almost 14,000 chemists gathered in Philadelphia,Pennsylvania,August 22-26,for the 228th American Chemical Society (ACS) National Meeting.As always,the strength of this meeting was the range of topics discussed at dozens of parallel sessions,providing an opportunity for cross-fertilization between different areas of chemistry.The size of the event also attracted a wide range of exhibitors to the trade show-more than 500 companies were represented.
