Asian coated materials showed a firming trend in prices this month on the back of an improvement in flat steel prices. The supply situation in the region remains relatively tight with buyers keeping inventories low through out the rest of this quarter while a clearer direction from end-coated steel users is sought. The additional seasonal weakness in the market will ensure that prices stay relatively flat through the rest of this quarter.
