Elongation response of tulip stem to exogenous auxin after different period from removal of endogenous sources of auxin - flower bud and leaves.

IAA at concentrations of 0.1 and 1.0% in lanolin paste induced the growth of all stem internodes in Gudoshnik tulips, when applied within 2 days in place of the removed flower bud and after excision of all leaves. The ability of IAA to induce the elongation of internodes was reduced each successive day after application.
