摘要

Ti + 10 wt(percent) Cr_(3)C_(2) matrixes composite coating was produced by continuous wave CO_(2) laser system. Microstructure and microhardness were investigated by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscope, energy dispersive X-ray spectrometer and microhardness testing. Results show that the partial dissolution of Cr_(3)C_(2) particles which led to the formation of Cr_(2)Ti, Cr_(7)C_(3) and TiC phases during the rapid solidification cause the increasing of microhardness value and the three distinct steps on the curves of Ti + 10percent Cr_(3)C_(2) composite laser cladding coating. Dendrite grains size changes from Large to fine in laser clad coating from top to bottom, and the percentage of chromium is no uniformly distributed.
