THANKYOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! As I am writing this, I have just participated in one of the greatest recent examples of joint community political action by Oklahoma physicians and families. Of course, I am referring to the reinstatement of the comprehensive liability reform laws which we worked so hard to pass in 2009 and which were declared unconstitutional by the Oklahoma Supreme Court on June 4. I want to thank all of you who participated in the Legislative Special Session in direct and indirect ways. These include being there for our white coat rally, covering the clinical duties of your partners who came, sending e-mails and talking with your legislators. On Sept. 5, the first day of voting, we had over 100 physicians, Alliance members and medical students at the Capitol and sitting in the galleries in their white coats. Before the session started, you sent over 7000 e-mails.
