The 10-month-old Liberal-National coalition government has finally succeeded in scrapping the carbon pricing law enacted by the former Labor-led administration after including an amendment to guarantee companies pass savings onto consumers. Australian airline Qantas has already warned its customers that the change won’t make any difference to air fares after scrapping its carbon surcharge earlier this month (JFI Jul.14’14).
