Multimodality approach best way to control tumors, experts agree

It is almost always controversial to describe the best treatment for a particular type of cancer among veterinary oncologists. The one point that has received widespread agreement is that a multimodality approach using surgery, radiation therapy, chemotherapy and immunotherapy is the best way to treat cancer. At the 19th annual ACVIM Forum, six different sessions were presented that discussed the multimodality therapeutic approach to cancer. The four presenters had 80 years of combined clinical experience in veterinary oncology. We are going to concentrate on two of their presentations--the best way to treat head and neck cancer and the best way to treat vaccineassociated sarcomas.
