Croatia interested In Krk Island LNG terminal

e government of Croatia has picked up the plans to build a proposed regas enninal on Krk Island, according to a Bloomberg report, Oct. 28, citing a statement by deputy prime minister Domagoj Milosevic. Investment in the facility is estimated to be ?800 million (US$1.1 billion), according to the report. E.ON, OMV, Geoplin and Total originally considered building their proposed Adria LNG terminal there, but plans were scrapped due to weak Croatian support and European gas demand. The Croatian government says the terminal is needed to help to ensure a steady gas supply to Croatia, Slovenia, Austria and Germany.
