Global LNG's Effect on Flaring

According to an August 2009 report compiled by several research institutes, including the EarthObservation Group, NOAA National Geophysical Data Center, some 67 countries flared gas in 2008.The amount of gas flared ranged from as little 0,3 million cubic meters per year (29,000 cubic feet perday) in the Netherlands to much as 40.6 billion cubic, meters annually (3.9 billion cubic feet per day)in Russia. Fifteen of those countries also exported LNG. See Figure 3.
