On June 3,2008,BG Group plc(BG)and Petroleo Brasileiro S.A.(Petrobras)signed two LNG agreements,under which BG will supply import terminals being built by Petrobras in Pecem(State of Ceara)and in Guanabara Bay(State of Rio de Janeiro).The agreements mark the first time Petrobras has purchased LNG from international markets.The initial cargo will be used to commission the Pecem terminal in July 2008.
