DOWN ON THE DAIRY FARM

A first-generation dairy farmer who started milking by hand and taking churns of milk out to the end of the lane by horse and cart. He now lists horses as one of his hobbies, along with classical music and trying to guess what Milk Marque will do next. I am lucky in that by the time you read this, we will have a new Government and I will not have been involved in electioneering in these pages. What I can do, however is suggest to the new incumbent of Downing Street, and his henchmen in Whitehall Place, a few little ideas I have to try and protect and promote our great industry.
