Traditionally,in refineries,diesel is recovered as a direct product from the atmospheric crude tower.With continuing changes in diesel quality and increased demand,keeping with that tradition leaves recoverable diesel behind.The fewer the processing steps,the better the diesel and the easier the diesel post treatment.Keeping diesel out of the FCC maximizes its value.Diesel slipping into the vacuum unit restricts downstream capacity.
