The hazards of waste disposal

It is crucial to teep up to date with legislation regarding the disposal of hazardous waste, Ian Muir. Identifying the different types of waste generated by a horticultural business and working out how to manage them is a relatively new challenge forgrowers. It was only in May 2006, with the introduction of the Agricultural Waste Regulations, that growers had to fall in line with what the rest of UK industry had been doing for many years. Even then there was a generous 12-month transition phase before the full impact struck, including the new regulations for the horticultural sector on the movement of waste classed as hazardous.
