A binder designed for use in the production of natural fibre-reinforced composite automotive parts, such as interior car door panels and shelves, has been launched by BASF of Ludwigshafen, Germany. The company says that the binder - called Acrodur Power 2750 X - is a low-emission alternative to formaldehyde-based reactive resins, and imparts high mechanical stability to natural fibre-reinforced composites.
