The price of the front-month crude futures contract on the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) settled down 25 c/bbl on Friday at 62.41/bbl, showing a 3% loss for the week.The crude price decline got extra momentum midweek when traders decided to sell because of reports of strong U.S. crude inventories. The bearish sentiment pushed gasoline prices down as well.
