General Council

摘要

In 2013, the WTO's General Council carried out the selection process that led to the appointment of Roberto Azevedo of Brazil as the new WTO Director-General. The General Council also undertook the relevant substantive and organizational preparations for the WTO's Ninth Ministerial Conference. It oversaw the progress of the Doha Round negotiations, and in particular of the “Bali Package”, on the basis of reports from the Director-General in his capacity as Chair of the Trade Negotiations Committee.
