Second LNG Project in British Columbia

Two separate LNG export projects look to be gaining momentum in British Columbia, on Canada's West Coast, raising the possibility that Canadian gas could be reaching Asian or other Pacific Basin markets as LNG within four to five years. Both projects appear to have the support of Pacific Northern Gas, owner of a pipeline running from Spectra Energy's pipeline system in the producing region of British Columbia to the coast at Kitimat, near Prince Rupert.
