US gas trading was not for the faint of heart through the last week of April,due to rampant volatility in the physical and futures markets leading up to and during bid week,when many baseload prices for the following month are set.However,those who waited close to the futures contract expiration to lock in deals for June made out like bandits,as prices collapsed as May gas rolled off the board.
