IN MARCH, USApple launched our first-ever pages on Facebook and Twitter, the two most popular social media services in the country. Within days we had more than 100 "fans" on Facebook and the number grows every day. Our followers on Twitter are expanding almost as quickly. In February, USApple concluded its inaugural online survey measuring consumer perspectives of apples and apple products. More than 1,100 consumers nationwide participated in the survey, which was conducted by global food personality and self-proclaimed Supermarket Guru, Phil Lempert, at the popular website, www.supermarketguru.com. This month, we will host a webi-nar for USApple members and the media to discuss the results of the survey with Lempert.
