摘要

Research into the plastic properties of anode mass was conducted on specimens prepared in intermittently operating industrial mixers (type Anod-4) using calcined pitch coke and medium-temperature pitch. In order to examine the effect of the plastic properties of anode mass on the mechanism of liquid phase formation for anodes, specimens were prepared within a relatively broad range of binder contents. The obtained mass batches ware charged to anodes of electrolyzers with side current feed having a current strength of 86 left, and examined during passage through the liquid phase of the anodes. The research method was as follows.
