摘要

At the XVI International Mineral Processing Congress, held in Sweden during June 5-10, 1988, 22 reports were given on magnetic, electric, and gravitation separation. Most of the reports dealt with magnetic and electric separation. Italian scientists reported on the development and testing of a newly-designed triboelectric separator, to separate mineral salts and silicate minerals, which not only offers high productivity but also provides better separation selectivity than currently designed separators. A major report on the advantages and prospects for the development of magnetic beneficiation methods was given by Canadian specialists who noted that broad development of high-intensive, high-gradient, and cryogenic superconductive magnetic separators is going forward today, making it possible to successfully and efficiently solve problems connected with the beneficiation of paramagnetic and weakly-magnetic ores.
