Changes to the labelling of veterinary medicines can pose challenges to the unwary. Some changes originate as the result of new clinical studies which support new indications while others are the result of new residue studies, adverse reaction experiences or new scientific or regulatory requirements. Three categories are considered below including: Warnings for antimicrobial drugs relating to measures to limit the spread of antimicrobial resistance. A new set of symbols that classify anthelmintics for sheep. An update on the expected development of labelling ideas over the coming years.
