摘要

It was seven years ago that the Czech Republic experienced the greatest natural disaster in its history. Prague's historic city centre was submerged by floods with terrible consequences. 17 people lost their lives. To prevent such a disaster from happening again, the Czech Republic found new ways to control the waste water system of its capital. For the protection of Prague, Mannheim-based VAG-Armaturen supplied knife-gate valves and a flap valve. The valves were manufactured in VAG's own foundry in the Czech Republic.
