Soft Dates reach perfect RHIHAB on the palm and then fall down from the palm for most varieties. Even so, at Minab (Iran) 2 varieties, Al-Mehtari & Mordasang reach TAMAR on the palm. This makes it clear & precise that by using the new approach breeding and research theory, the intensive & extensive breeding intelligently exploits to the maximum the potential of selected germplasms. and the crossingovers. New hard dates will be created, thin is beyond a certainty. Heavy rains in June July, August canbe prevented from contacting the fruits by a covering the whole bunch of fruits. Although heavy rains lowers the temperature, the rains are NOT the absolute obstacle preventing date production. Pakistan has developed many ways in overcoming the effectsof rain and has produced dates commercially, the other kinds of dates since ancient times. The soft dates produced by a number of seedlings, can ripen on the palm, in Thailand, into the RHUTAB stage. This means that many kinds of processed dates can beproduced in Thailand.
