BASF INCREASES CAPACITY FOR NEOPENTYLGLYCOL

BASF JCIC Neopentylglycol Col,Ltd.(BJNC),a 60/40 joint venture company of BASF and Jilin Chemical Industrial Co.,Ltd in Jilin,North East China,will expand its Neopentylglycol (NPG) capacity by 10,000 metric tons.Together with the capacity increase of BASF in Ludwig-shafen,Germany,announced this March,the global NPG capacity of BASF will be 165,000 metric tons by the end of 2007.
