Chubu Mini Mills' Dec Crude Steel Output To Fall To 318,000 Tons

It is likely that crude steel production by six electric steelmakers operating in Japan's Chubu area will fall to a total of around 318,000 tons in December from an estimated 400,000 tons in November. The six companies are Aichi Steel Corp, Kyoei Steel Ltd, Daido Steel Co, Chubu Steel Plate Co, Topy Industries Ltd, and Yamaguchi Kogyo. As a result, their planned purchases of locally available ferrous scrap are down to a total of around 276,000 tons for December.
