Rigor, relevance, and relationships are the current buzzwords used to encourage teachers to require that stu-dents do more than memorize, to connect the subject matterto things important to students, and to build relationships inan environment that encourages excellence. Sharing experi-ences that have happened to, you, in which your knowledgeof physics helped you make better decisions, is one way toaccomplish these goals. Here is an example of something thathappened to me that may give you an idea of how to use yourexperiences with your students.
