The Current in a Wire

摘要

This little problem arose because I was frus-trated with the standard electromagnetismtexts, which show the magnetic field due to a current-bearing wire outside the wire ∝1/r and inside∝_r. However, they never point out that the movingelectrons must be influenced by the magnetic fieldcreated by the other moving electrons. Clearly thismust affect the solution. In this paper we will deter-mine what that magnetic field does.
