The per-capita net income of farmers in China made an increase of 7% a year from 2000 to 2004.According to the statistics made by the National Agricultural Technology Dissemination Center,the market price of urea that holds the greatest proportion in the consumption of chemical fertilizers increased by 11.5% a year during that period.The price of other chemical fertilizers also made an increase by different rates.The income increase of farmers was therefore partially offset.
