Introduction by the President

摘要

The role,remit and effectiveness of the bodies that regulate the health professions are under unprecedented scrutiny.Following the Stiipman Inquiry,which made its fifth report in December 2004,the chief medical officer at the Department of Health is undertaking a review of the role of the General Medical Council.Since April this year,a review of health regulation for the non-medical health professions has been in train,under the chairmanship of WHS director of workforce,Andrew Foster.
