Last season a number of new varieties were released. Now, after another year of observation, you should be able to get a more accurate picture of their performance capabilities. Perhaps you were even able to plant some of these varieties on your farm and make your own comparisons. Still, variety selection is an important process that should be given careful consideration. The best variety choice is one that will achieve a rapid, uniform stand and provide good yields and grades over a wide range ofgrowing conditions.
