Six Priceless Presents

Your family probably has enough "stuff." These rich gifts could be what they really need. ONE OF MY earliest, most vivid memories about money was my mom buying me a Christmas club membership each year from the old Metropolitan Savings Bank in Brooklyn, New York. As the calendar ticked by, she occasionally reminded my older brother, sister and me that she was putting bits of every paycheck into our accounts. And I recall how each November, with some fanfare, Mom would give us each a check for a tidy sum. It was such a boon for me, because I was just a kid with not much money. I used those checks to buy gifts for my loved ones--and a little something for myself too.
