Rory O'Connor is Professor of Psychology in the School of Natural Sciences at the University of Stirling (he moves to the University of Glasgow in July), Honorary Professor of Psychology at University of Nottingham, a health psychologist and a former Chair of BPS- Scotland. The announcement of his appointment as President-Elect of the International Academy for Suicide Research prompted us to ask him a few questions about his life and career. Where did you grow up?
