A new look and a new century

It has been an exciting year for The Journal as we complete our first century. We appreciate all the kind comments we have received from our readers with appreciation for the series of landmark articles published over the past year, skillfully edited by our own Dr. Bruce Pihlstrom. The Landmark Series demonstrates-as we hope to do in every issue-the important role JADA plays in the advancement of the dental profession. Under the leadership of our editor, Dr. Michael Glick, The Journal has seen a dramatic rise in the number and quality of articles submitted, and steady growth in the number of articles downloaded electronically. Although the print edition will be with us for many years to come, JADA is also at the forefront of digital publishing, available to ADA members and institutional subscribers in a mobile-optimized format that makes it convenient to read or search on a smartphone or tablet.
