A new Standard has just been published covering installation of liquefied petroleum gas (LP Gas) and compressed natural gas (CNG) fuel systems for forklifts and industrial engines. The Standard was developed following calls from the forklifts and light industrial equipment manufacturers who required a Standard to specifically cover the use of this type of equipment. Both LP Gas and CNG installations have been included in order to provide a comprehensive document, as the requirements are common to both fuels. The objective of this Standard is to provide designers, manufacturers, installers and regulatory authorities with technical requirements for LP Gas and CNG fuel systems for forklifts and industrial engines; to ensure functional safe installations.
