Sprinkler systems

The Committee for Automatic Fire Sprinkler Systems met in early December 2003 to review projects within the AS 2118 series and consider new projects. The Committee discussed the Australian Building Codes Board's (ABCB) decision not to reference the revised edition of AS 2118.1 in the Building Code of Australia (BCA) and agreed to proceed with the revision of AS 2118.1 although not required by the ABCB to be referenced in the BCA. Clauses covering requirements not needed by the regulatory process will continue to be separated from the main part of the Standard as set out in the Public Comment Draft DR 02668 issued in December 2002.
