Committee CT-001 Communications Cabling has recently published AS/NZS 3084 and released AS/NZS 3087.1 for the publication process. AS/NZS 3084: 2003 Telecommunications installations-Telecommunications pathways and spaces for commercial buildings. Communications Cabling for Commercial Buildings supersedes AS 3084-1993. This Standard is an adoption with national modifications and has been reproduced from ISO/IEC 18010:2002 Information technology-Pathways and spaces for customer premises cabling and has been varied to take account of Australian/New Zealand conditions. Its objective is to assist architects, planners, designers, engineers, builders, installers, maintenance personnel, building owners, managers and users in the planning of physical pathways and spaces in and between buildings to accommodate the equipment and cabling infrastructure necessary for communications.
