Dear Readers, It is our pleasure to bring to you once again another set of outstanding articles on international trade - broadly denned. The scope and thrust of International Trade Journal has undergone steady and gradual shift, away from heavy quantification and strict economic analysis toward a broader interpretation of trade in the tradition of political economy. This change in tone is a reflection of changes in the disciplines that underlie "trade," as well as the evolving character of Texas A&M International University that is the Journal's academic and intellectual home. The well established PhD program in International Business Administration and an Editorial Advisory Board whose intellectual orientation is wide ranging yet complementary are two of the underlying reasons for this subtle realignment.
