Foster Wheeler (Zug, Switzerland) says a subsidiary of its global engineering and construction sector has been awarded a contract from Petrobras (Rio de Janiero, Brazil) for a grassroots gas-tochemicals complex at Linhares, Espirito Santo Sate, Brazil-called complex gás-químico UFN-IV. Foster Wheeler will provide basic engineering design (BED), front-end engineering design (FEED), and technical assistance and training during the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) phase through completion of the plant performance tests. Terms of the contract were not disclosed, but the BED and FEED will be included in the company's third-quarter 2012 earnings.
