Rhodia's net profits more than tripled in the fourth quarter of 2010 compared with the same period of 2009, to ?91 million on sales up 16% on a like-for-like basis, to ?1.4 billion. The company's recurring Ebitda increased 5% in the fourth quarter on a like-for-like basis, to ?223 million and operating profits rose 39%, to ?165 million. Higher sales reflect strong demand across regions and business segments, result- ing in higher volumes, and improved profits resulted from "continued effective price management in an inflationary raw materials context," Rhodia says.
