Subcommittee EL-011-01, Life Monitoring Methodology, of Committee EL-011, Electricity Metering Equipment, has been formally constituted and renumbered and renamed as Subcommittee EL-011-02, In-service Compliance of Electricity and Gas Meters. The Subcommittee has been formally constituted to allow it to cover requirements for gas as well as electricity meters. The Subcommittee will develop an in-service Standard for gas meters along the same lines as the recently published Standard for in-service compliance of electricity meters [AS/NZS 1284.13:2002, Electricity metering -In-service compliance testing].
