Australian BHP Billiton To Sell All Its Interest In Browse LNG Project

Australian BHP Billiton Ltd. announced on December 12th that it has signed an agreement with PetroChina International Investment (Australia) Pty Ltd to sell all interest it owns in Browse LNG Project in Australia for a cash consideration of US$1.63 billion. BHP Billiiton shows its prospects that it will complete transfer of the project equity interest to PetroChina in the first quarter of 2013 subject to the approval by the Australian Government.
