摘要

On November 27,2014, the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries decided to maintain its production level, even in the face of decreasing oil prices. This decision helped slow the huge financial success that the North American sector has been experiencing with the shale boom. Operations and production will continue in these regions, but the growth will be below what was expected. At the time of publication, oil's price was just more than $44 per barrel. In a special report, "The 2015 State of the Oil & Gas Industry," on page 10, industry experts share their plans for this year, their concerns and how they think the industry can weather this downturn. In addition, Robert Mackenzie, director of research with Iberia Capital Partners, provides market insight and discusses where activity will continue and who will be standing when the price rebounds.
