The essence of clauses 7.2.1 and 7.2.2 of ISO 9001:2000 is to establish what the client wants and when, and then to confirm internally that the organisation has the ability to satisfy those requirements. There is a requirement that there is a record of the review acceptance but this does not strictly imply hard copy and may therefore be in electronic form. It could also be as simple as a till receipt record. Auditors will be looking to determine if the process of order establishment and review is understood within the organisation and that it is effective.
