Rebuild of a record breaker

PROUD OF THE record-breaking past and successful present of its Braviken mill,near Norrkoping,Sweden,Holmen Paper has carried out a rebuild project aimed at the future.The mill,whose three paper machines - PM 51,52 and 53 - have each held the world speed record for newsprint,recently completed an upgrade of PM 52 to enable the unit to produce lower basis weight paper at the high quality demanded by customers.At the same time,Braviken revamped the thermomechanical pulp(TMP)line that feeds the machine to increase tensile strength and boost output.
