A market running about 6% behind the first quarter of 2012 with the largest portion of the off fall coming from the import side of the market suggests the slower economic conditions we have been talking about in this Report all quarter. Both import and domestic shipments are down. Is early news of the spring construction market mired in the late winter weather? It sure seems that is part of the answer and its confusing the results enough to keep us from seeing whether spending is actually going to kick up as much as we had originally predicted. All that said, we would expect to adjust our forecast down but we sit here now hoping we do not have to.
