UN to pilot global list of GHSclassifed substances

The Sub-Committee of Experts on theGHS, a body established by the UNEconomic Commission for Europe (Unece),hopes to reach decisions on updating theGHS, including improvement of itsannexes, by the end of 2012. Tesubcommittee, which held its most recentmeeting on 7-9 December, is alsoexamining hazard communications andimplementation issues, developing guidanceon the application of the GHS criteria, andplanning further capacity building projects.
