Amut says that it has recently tested an extrusion line designed and realised for the production of non-toxic PVC foil for medical bags.The line is suitable for the production of foils from 200-500 microns and from 345-800 mm wide,which are wound on 600 mm diameter reels.Various options for surface finish of the foil are offered,such as scratch-proof embossing or satin side and polished central bands.The different finishes are undertaken by changing the cylinders in a calender,which has been made easier with a fast changeover system.
