Asian PVC prices dropped $16/mt on the week, marking the fifth consecutive week-on-week decline — as Asian producers are set to cut offers for July business to stimulat China’s buying appetite. Producers started considering fresh offers for July amid local holidays in China. Chinese traders and distributors were away from trading Monday t Wednesday for the Dragon Boat Festival. Asian producers were targeting selling their July quantity at $930-940/mt CFR China, slashing them by around $30-40/mt compared with their June settlement prices of $960-970/mt.
