Asian styrene monomer ended the week on a weaker note. The domestic Chinese SM ended with five straight days of decline, with no reported deals heard Friday — despite offers declining from Yuan 10,300/mt to Yuan 10,200/mt. This resulted in the China domestic benchmark on an import-parity basis Friday losing $27.60/mt compared to the same day last week. The CFR China benchmark also lost $18.25/mt over the week to close Friday at $1,287.75/mt. The $4.50/barel decline in front-month crude futures from $83.55/b Monday to $79.05/b Friday’s also dampened buying sentiment.
